Dana White just gave some really exciting news for UFC fans all around the globe. He took to Twitter and shared a video of himself announcing that “Vegas is back.”

White shared a video in which he announced that the UFC 264 event will take place at the T Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The much-awaited fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will headline the event.

“What’s up everybody, UFC president Dana White here, I am so happy to finally be able to say ‘Vegas is back’. This summer Las Vegas is back open for business. And on July 10, UFC 264 will be at the T Mobile Arena here in Vegas at 100% capacity. Ladies and Gentlemen, that’s 20000 fans.”

During COVID, it has been really tough to have big live events. Almost all sporting events happened behind closed doors, and hence, White saying that the stadium will be at full capacity is glorious news.

A match between McGregor and Poirier is highly anticipated. The two fighters have competed twice before this match. Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier first faced each other at UFC 178, and ‘Notorious’ won that fight in the first round via KO. The pair had their rematch at UFC 257. This time Poirier came out on top as he won the fight via a second-round TKO.

With the score settled at 1-1, this rivalry is well balanced and this match will be the perfect ending to this great rivalry. Poirier had even denied an opportunity to fight for the lightweight title, as he wanted to have his third fight with Conor McGregor.

There were doubts about whether the event would take place in front of a live crowd or not. Now Dana White announcing the fact that UFC 264 will take place at the T Mobile arena and that too at full capacity is a piece of splendid news.
