Brazilian knockout artist Amanda Lemos currently sits at #10 in the UFC strawweight rankings. She has been on a great run ever since her debut loss to Leslie Smith back in 2017. Having amassed five consecutive victories, a win over a former divisional champion would pave the way for Lemos to picture herself as a title contender.
‘Amandinha’ is coming off a controversial split decision win over Angela Hill; ‘Bate Estaca’, who went 2-1 at flyweight, is coming off a win over Cynthia Calvillo.
Jessica Andrade wants to take on Miesha Tate
The former strawweight champion expressed her desire to lock horns with the former bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate. It came after Tate teased a move down to flyweight after her friend Julianna Pena snatched the bantamweight strap from the women’s 135-pound weight class kingpin Amanda Nunes at UFC 269.

Andrade also mentioned that the bout will be interesting as ‘CupCake’ was somehow connected with ‘Bate Estaca’s UFC debut. In a chat with MMAFighting, she said:
“I recently read that Miesha is thinking about the idea of going down to 125 pounds and I would love to be her first opponent in this new weight class. Maybe she never thought about it, but I entered the UFC because of her, when she went to shoot TUF with Ronda [Rousey] and withdrew from a fight with Liz Carmouche, and I was signed as her replacement”
