Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones will be back in action in December. He will take on the current AEW star and Bellator fighter, Jack Hager.

Jon Jones on his Twitter announced he will take part in a grappling match with Hager at a Fury Grappling event on December 9. Jones, in his tweet, said, “Breaking News!! I’m excited to announce I’ll be competing for the number one grappling organization in the world, Fury Grappling! December 9th I’ll be in New Jersey competing against WWE superstar and undefeated Bellator heavyweight Jack swagger (Jake Hager’s WWE alias).”

Bones‘ has taken part in grappling events before as well, and has a 5-0 record, winning all fights via submission. He has not fought since his last fight on February 8, 2020. He defended his light heavyweight title and later vacated the title. Jones moved up to the heavyweight division.

His former gym, Jackson Wink MMA, banned him from training there. This happened after Jones was arrested for alleged domestic violence and resisting arrest. He recently decided to not go back to the gym ever and was looking for a new team.

In recent posts and videos, Jones was seen training with the former Olympic gold medalist and two-division UFC champion, Henry Cejudo. Many consider ‘Triple-C’ the greatest combat athlete in the world. He recently trained Zhang Weili and is also working with Deiveson Figueiredo.

Jake Hager is a former All-American collegiate wrestler at the University of Oklahoma. He is unbeaten as an MMA fighter, as well. He currently holds a 3-0 record with one fight ending as a no contest. The fight can be a tough challenge for the former UFC champion. So, training with Cejudo is definitely going to help him. His fans would love to see him back in action.
