Former interim UFC lightweight title contender Kevin Lee was recently removed from the UFC fan rankings pool. This news comes after the Nevada Athletic Commission suspended Lee for six months after testing positive for Adderall. It is a banned substance that he was using to treat ADHD. He tested positive for the substance, following his fight against Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 35 in August 2021.

Since the announcement of his suspension, Lee has issued an apology for his lack of professionalism. According to him, it was a mistake on his part, as he didn’t apply for therapeutic-use exemption (TUE). He thought it would be out of his system by the time of his fight.

I’m still kind of kicking myself in the a** over it because it’s a legit prescription, it’s a legit diagnosis and I think I just went about it in an unprofessional way to get that done.”
