The UFC has scrapped one bout from the fight card of the UFC Fight Night event (UFC Vegas 44) in Las Vegas. This came after Matt Brown withdrew from his welterweight fight against Bryan Barberena.

It is unclear whether Barberena will remain on the card. Hence, the event, which will be headlined by a much-anticipated bantamweight bout between Jose Aldo and Rob Font, will move forward with one bout less on its fight card.

Recently, ‘The Immortal’ posted a series of tweets on his official Twitter account and revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

Brown wrote, “Shi**y day today I tested positive for covid so my fight next weekend is off.”

“I was sick af over the weekend but feel better for the most part now. Lost smell today. Did a jog outside today and lungs burned some I thought maybe it was just the cold air, but maybe I’m still sick. I’ll get over it quickly and go from there.”

‘The Immortal’ recently recovered from a two-fight skid with a stunning win over Dhiego Lima in June. He also won the ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus for his win. However, Brown will now have to wait for his next UFC appearance.

UFC Vegas 44 will take place inside the UFC Apex on December 4. The fight card reflects many amazing bouts. Here’s how the card looks after the change.
