BREAKING: Max Holloway to Return to UFC Action on November 13

Max Holloway will soon return to action in his quest for the featherweight title bout. As per the reports, the UFC has added an exciting featherweight bout between the former champion and Yair Rodriguez. The bout will take place on November 13 and will serve as the main event.
However, the promotion is yet to make an official announcement of the fight. Meanwhile, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto broke out the news on his official Instagram account.

Okamoto wrote in the caption, “This one is good to go, per sources. Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodriguez will headline UFC Fight Night on Nov. 13. Holloway agreed to the date this week, per sources. Gotta believe the winner of this takes on the winner of Volkanovski vs. Ortega tomorrow. Heck of a main event.”
This bout between the featherweights was previously scheduled for UFC Vegas 31 in July. However, “Blessed” suffered an injury and had to pull out of the fight.
‘Blessed’ is running on the back of one win after facing two defeats against the current featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski. Meanwhile, ‘El Pantera’ will return to the octagon after his last fight in 2019.

‘Blessed’ is one of the most prominent names in the featherweight division of UFC. The 22-6 record holder has an illustrious career in the promotion. He is a skilled finisher with twelve finishes on his resume. He has defeated many big names, including Calvin Kattar, Brian Ortega, Jose Aldo, Anthony Pettis, Charles Oliveira, and Cub Swanson.
Holloway was on a four-fight win streak before he entered the UFC. He quickly made his way up the ranks with back-to-back impressive performances. The American fighter was undefeated in the promotion from 2014 to 2018.

The former champion was on a nine-fight win streak when he won his first interim UFC featherweight title. Later, he won featherweight gold against Jose Aldo at UFC 212 and defended it in a rematch at UFC 218 in the same year.
‘Blessed’ faced a rough time in the promotion after as he lost the interim UFC lightweight title bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 236. He also lost his featherweight gold strap to Alexander Volkanovski in 2019. Later, he faced the same faith against ‘The Great’ in the rematch.
However, Holloway got back in the win column in his fight against Calvin Kattar earlier this year. He is currently #1 in the featherweight division. ‘Blessed’ will look to secure a win against Rodriguez as it will surely earn him a title shot next.
