Edson Barboza has reorganized after suffering a loss to Dan Ige in his featherweight transition, now the Brazilian is on a two-fight winning streak by defeating Makwan Amirkhani and Shane Burgos. Barboza’s last encounter with Burgos earned him a fight of the night bonus where he emerged victorious in the third round. Now ‘Junior’ is ranked in the top 10 featherweights and will try to keep the winning momentum alive by beating Chikadze.

The other half of the main event Giga Chikadze is on a high note since 2019. Now, he is on an active six-fight winning streak with two ‘performance of the night’ bonuses in his last two trips inside the octagon. On paper, Chikadze’s upcoming fight against Edson Barboza is a guaranteed brawl. Both the featherweights are precise strikers, therefore the fight could end in a blink of an eye.
