BREAKING: UFC Featherweight Mirsad Bektic Retires From MMA

Mirsad Bektic is a featherweight fighter who made his UFC debut on April 19, 2014. According to Triangle TV, the 30-year-old Bosnian fighter will no longer compete as a MMA fighter. After 10 long years, Bertic has finally decided to hang his gloves for the good. He suffered three consecutive defeats, which could have been a major reason behind his retirement. But Bektic will remain active because he plans to continue his contributions as a coach and a nutritionist.

After 10 fights in the UFC (6-4) the best fighter from Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to retire from MMA sports.Bektic was one of the greatest potentials of the lightweight category and at one point he was the 6th ranked fighter in the category.He has a series of 3 defeats behind him, and everyone was shocked by the decision to end his MMA career in 30 years.

Bektic fought ten times in the UFC, where he won six and lost four. From his six wins, he managed two knockout victories that are still remembered by his fans. His last knockout victory came against Godofredo Pepey at UFC Fight Night in January 2018. The duo fought in the preliminary section of the card where Mirsad Bektic dropped Pepey by a powerful body shot. The Bosnian poured on his the ground-n-pound, on the dropped opponent therefore the referee stopped the fight.

His first T/KO victory came at UFC Fight Night March 2015 against Lucas Martins. Mirsad Bektic completely dominated the first round of the fight. Bektic threw 39 significant strikes with 3 successful takedown until he finally proved to be too much for his opponent and closing the show by T/KO inside first minute of the second round.
