We’re not one for favoritism, but it goes to say that one of the best female fighters of the UFC is back in action on June 11th! Valentina Shevchenko is by far the best female fighter in the UFC alongside her longtime rival, Amanda Nunes.
Shevchenko’s last fight was on September 25th, 2021, at UFC 266 against Lauren Murphy. She won the fight with a TKO in the fourth round, making this her sixth title defense in the flyweight division.

Valentina Shevchenko: How does she do against Taila Santos?
Taila Santos is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who holds the #5 spot in the flyweight division. Her fight style primarily comprises Muay Thai and Jiu-Jitsu, making her adept in rallying around her opponents while landing significant strikes as well. With that being said, though, Shevchenko is still leagues ahead of the Brazilian.

‘Bullet’ is more of an all-rounded fighter with exceptionally fluid and lightning-fast striking, paired with an excellent tenacity for out wrestling her opponents.

Shevchenko, therefore, is very likely to take the win, adding yet another fighter to her impressive track record of victories.
Why we can’t wait to see Shevchenko return to the octagon
Like we already said, Shevchenko is one of the UFC’s most adept and elusive fighters. She has been nicknamed the ‘Bullet’ for a good reason. Her exceptional speed and agility are some of the reasons that make her such a deadly opponent to fighters.
Pairing this speed with her experience in Muay Thai, it goes to show how and why only one opponent has stopped her twice to date, Amanda Nunes.

Shevchenko is one of the fighters in the promotion who has the ‘It’ factor. Along with her fighting skills, she is an incredible performer with a personality to sway any fight fan. Moreover, she also regularly dances and does her cultural moves when she wins a fight.
All in all, she’s the whole package, and we can’t wait to see her back.
