Brendan Allen is back on another winning streak. After Nassourdine Imavov handed him his first loss in over two years, another loss followed when ‘All In’ took on Anthony Hernandez. But after coming back with a win over Marvin Vettori, and just recently, Reinier de Ridder, Allen’s slowly getting back into the title conversation. Rightfully so, the Beaufort native reveled in his win against the Dutchman and received a pretty expensive gift for a glorious night out inside the Octagon.

Brendan Allen, who represented Canada at UFC Vancouver, had a lot of friends there who came to witness his main event fight. It wasn’t just a win for him but for the people in his circle as well. To show their admiration and love for the UFC star, one of his friends decided to gift him a 2023 edition of the Rolex Daytona. This watch can go up to $130,000 on the secondary market, which is more than what most UFC fighters make in a night.
“I’ve never been gifted something like this. I’m not a big watch guy. Like, I don’t know much about them… A 2023 Platinum Daytona… They didn’t give me the bonus, but I got one from my brother, Maj. He came all the way here,” Brendan Allen told Full Send MMA. ‘Bro, I’m speechless, to be honest with you. I have never been gifted something like this. I work my a– off for everything I have, and I’m the guy that tries to give back to all my family and friends.”

For Brendan Allen, the Rolex watch isn’t just a gift from his friend. The middleweight star claims to feel blessed for having people in his circle who go all the way just to make him happy. “It plays with my heartstrings a little bit that someone was willing to give me something so expensive, so sentimental to them, and I’m very thankful. I just can’t be more thankful,” Allen added.

Well, Brendan Allen is not a sucker for expensive gifts, but he is when it comes to the middleweight title. After his win at Vancouver, ‘All In’ made a heavy callout to a former champion and the current champion, Khamzat Chimaev. Here’s what he had to say.

Brendan Allen wants Khamzat Chimaev
There have been times when fighters have been criticized for wasting their chance to call out a rival that makes sense for them to fight next. Joaquin Buckley is a prime example, who last year got blasted by the community for calling out Conor McGregor. However, Brendan Allen was not going to do that, and after beating the #4 opponent, he immediately made it clear that he’s looking to fight the champion or someone who’ll lead him to a title fight, including a fight against Dricus du Plessis.

“Chimaev, you want a good grappler? You want someone that’s young and hungry? Come get it, baby,” Brendan Allen stated during his Octagon interview. “If not, Dricus, where you at? I’ve been trying to get you for a minute. And if not, Sean, it’s time to run it back, baby.” Well, it appears that Allen fired on all cylinders, not just in the fight against Reinier de Ridder but also in his post-fight interview.
Just when we thought Reinier de Ridder could cruise to a title shot, the middleweight landscape changed dramatically. With Brendan Allen coming out on top, it will be interesting to see how Dana White navigates this situation. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
