Edwards joined host Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour” as the two spoke about a cluster of topics, mainly regarding his next fight against Usman. In one segment, Helwani asked Edwards what he thought about Masvidal pulling out of the fight against him.

Edwards responded, “I thought, you little p**sy.” He added, “I don’t know that he would’ve done it anyway. I had like a feeling he wouldn’t have done it, you know. I don’t think he wants to fight, you know. And I’ve always said that he doesn’t want to fight me.”

Edwards continued by adding, “When I win the belt, I’ll give him the title shot, you know. Like, that would be a fantastic fight in the U.K. Bring it back to The O2 where it happened, for the title. That’s what I want to do next after this.”

He also mentioned how his dream was to headline a London card. He said, “I’ve never gotten the opportunity to headline London. First, I was supposed to do it with Woodley, then that got canceled because of COVID. So I’ve always wanted to come back home and do it.”
