“Bring That Potato to Me So I Can Fry Him” – Aljamain Sterling Launches an Attack on Petr Yan

Many people questioned Aljamain Sterling and his new status as the bantamweight champion after his UFC 259 bout against Petr Yan. Yan was in the wrong for landing an illegal knee on Sterling.

However, viewers did not like the way the bout ended. Further, many felt that Sterling was ducking a rematch against the Russian fighter. All this led to many people questioning his credibility.

However, a second fight between both the fighters is expected to take place at UFC 272 on March 5. Fans are obviously thrilled to see this fight happen because it has been due for a while.

A Twitter user, however, was not happy with the bantamweight champions ‘performance’ and the way he ‘acted’. So he communicated his thoughts through a tweet. But ‘Funk Master’ gave him a sharp reply. He replied, “That’s because half you Twitter cats are cowards and afraid to walk the lonely path. Me? Idagf! Bring that potato to me so I can fry him!”

Petr Yan recently shared the news that the title fight has been signed. So it is only a matter of time before viewers get to see a spectacular fight between both the fighters. Till then, it seems like Yan and Sterling will continue to take shots at each other on social media. All this leading to their fight will surely cause excitement among the masses.

‘No Mercy’ defeated Jose Aldo and became the champion at UFC 251. His bout against Sterling at 259 was his first title defense. However, when he illegally kneed Sterling in the head, the fighter could not continue with the fight. This led to Yan’s disqualification, and Sterling became the new champion.

The fight definitely was a disappointment for the fighters and the spectators. But since Petr Yan defeated Cory Sandhagen and became the interim champion, a bout against Sterling has been inevitable.
