“Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir Was 1.1”– Conor McGregor Clarifies How His Fight With Jose Aldo Did More Business for the UFC

Conor McGregor is without a doubt the most popular fighter to ever be a part of MMA. Throughout the world, people know ‘Notorious’ for his fighting skills and entertaining personality. Therefore, as McGregor is so popular across the globe, it comes as no surprise that he has been a part of some of the highest-grossing PPV events in UFC history.

Recently though, a list was revealed by Sportskeeda.com that showed the 10 highest earning PPVs in UFC history. McGregor retweeted that particular list and talked about how it is wrong. He wrote, “This list is incorrect. McGregor Aldo done more than UFC 100, Brock v Mir.”

“And McGregor Cowboy done more than McGregor Aldo. I currently hold 8 of the UFC’s top 10 PPVs. With two fights left on my contract, I will look to finish with the full top 10 in PPVs. Motivating!”

In another tweet, a fan tried to correct McGregor and tell him that the list is indeed correct. He wrote, “McGregor Cerrone was 1.3 mill, McGregor Aldo was 1.2 mill and brock vs Mir was 1.6 mill. Seems like the list is accurate.

“Notorious’ replied to this tweet as he clarified that Lesnar vs Mir did not make 1.6 million. McGregor wrote, ‘Brock v Mir was 1.1’. McGregor currently has 8 fights out of the top 10 highest-grossing fights in UFC history.

And as McGregor’s popularity seems to be increasing with each passing day. One can expect the fighter to add a few more of his fights to the list.

As Conor McGregor is the most popular UFC fighter in the world, there are many fighters willing to take on ‘Notorious’. However’ McGregor has wished to face Dustin Poirier in a 4th fight.

During the last fight between McGregor and Poirier, ‘Notorious’ snapped his leg towards the end of the 1st round. This meant that ‘The Diamond’ won the fight via a TKO (doctors stoppage). Therefore, McGregor believes that Poirier does not deserve the victory and wants to face him again.

However, Poirier is set to challenge for the UFC lightweight title next. Therefore, McGregor will have to wait if he wants to fight Dustin Poirier again.
