The Liverpudlian did not hold back while responding to the Russian-born athlete’s remarks about Khamzat Chimaev’s corner.

Darren Till questioned Khabib Nurmagomedov’s statements

In an interview with ESPN MMA, former UFC welterweight title challenger said, “I seen Khabib like sort of like saying Khamzat doesn’t have good people around him. Now, I get it. I like get the Muslim faith in that… I don’t know if he’s directing at me or someone in Khamzat’s other team, like coaches, teammates, whatever. There’s a few of us who aren’t Muslim.”

“Khabib’s missed weight, like five times, man. Like he’s got good people around him. We are not coming out saying [the same thing].”

“Just because me and Khamzat have a bit of fun on camera… does that mean that I’m not good people or his coaches aren’t good peoples? Like his Brazilian coach is one of the best grapplers of all time, he’s not Muslim. Does that mean he’s bad peoples?”

While saying he respects the Dagestan-born athlete for his work inside and outside the Octagon, Till continued, “I just don’t respect him coming out with comments like that.”

Till reminded Khabib Nurmagomedov of Khamzat Chimaev’s success

Afterward, the middleweight fighter, who has been finding it tough to make it to the Octagon, praised the Swede while reminding Nurmagomedov of his UFC 279 performance.
