However, a rather unconventional incident occurred at the end of the third round when Bruce Buffer, while announcing the results, made a simple mistake that had Daniel Cormier step in. Bruce Buffer’s hilarious mishap at UFC 297

Their bout was a toe-to-toe competition with both the fighters giving their best however there can be one winner and seems like Woodson’s reach has done its magic once again. The fighter boasts a massive 6″3 height which is already big, and his reach is one of the highest in the division. Woodson defeated Jourdain by a unanimous decision however at the official announcement, Bruce Buffer had a ‘Steve Harvey’ moment.

Much like Harvey, while announcing the winner of the bout, Buffer roared the name of ͏Charles Jourdain as the winner of the fight. However, the UFC officials quickly barged in to state that he was mistaken and that Woodson was the winner of the match. Woodson was leaving with a broken heart, but Daniel Cormier stopped him to state that he was the actual winner of the bout. Awkward indeed!

After the confusion calmed down, Buffer announced Woodson’s name as the winner of the bout at the UFC 297 fight.
