Even though Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov never fought each other in the octagon, they share one of the biggest rivalries in the sport. The two were scheduled to fight each other at UFC 209. However, due to Khabib’s failed weight cut, fans never got to witness this bout.

Ever since the bout was canceled, Ferguson has been pushing for a fight against Nurmagomedov. After ‘The Eagle’ announced his retirement, Ferguson still didn’t stop and still tries to pursue the fight, years later. In a recent tweet, ‘El Cucuy’ called out Khabib once again, amidst the talk of having them settle their difference on The Ultimate Fighter.

Ferguson wrote, trolling Khabib, “Hey Khabieber. You Done W/ Your World Tour Yet? Bout’ Time Ya Man up And Face A Real Coaches Challenge… How Bout A Pie Eating Contest Fatty.” To that, Khabib Clapped back with a savage reply. 

He wrote,” I’m waiting for you to wake up.” 

Nurmagomedov took a shot at Ferguson’s devastating KO loss in his recent octagon appearance at UFC 274 against Michael Chandler. Chandler brutally knocked Ferguson out in the second round of the fight.

As coaches on ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ fans may see these two rivals finally settle their differences after years of beefing. Dana White also revealed that he is open to the possibility of this happening, which could be a dream come true for Ferguson and Khabib’s fans.

After announcing his retirement from the sport, Khabib has been exploring a lot of professions. The former champion is now a coach for many of the fighters who trained under his father. In a recent video that has gone viral on YouTube, fans can see the seriousness of Nurmagomedov in the gym, and his incredible work ethic which made him a world champion.

Khabib forced his fighters to put in the work nonstop and was even trolled as ‘crazy’ by his fighters. His fighters seemed to be playfully complaining in the video. However, coach Khabib didn’t bat an eye to this and showed off his elite mindset and work ethic.
