The UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has taken a dig at the former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones once again. The Nigerian-born posted a hilarious meme on the internet, which has left the fans giggling.

The former light heavyweight got arrested on charges of domestic battery, misdemeanor, and tampering with a police vehicle right after the UFC’s hall-of-fame induction ceremony in Las Vegas.

Following this incident, Jones’s old rival, Izzy, took several digs at him on the internet by posting memes. Recently, the 32-year-old posted a picture of himself partying with Leon Edwards in the same city Jones got arrested in. However, this time around, it wasn’t a normal social media post.

‘The Last Stylebender’, wrote a witty caption in the post, trolling ‘Bones’ over his arrest in Las Vegas. He wrote, “I get up to some silly shit in Vegas. But I never Jones it.”

This is not new as both fighters have been involved in a verbal back and forth on the internet since last year. Both men seemed to have bad blood between them. Unfortunately, this rivalry never ended up inside the octagon.

Even though Izzy made a move to the light heavyweight division, he never fought Jones. Instead, the middleweight champion got defeated by Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259.

However, Izzy moved back to the middleweight division and bounced back in the win column with a win over Marvin Vettori at UFC 263. ‘The Last Stylebender’ will soon return to the octagon for his fourth title defense in a blockbuster rematch against Robert Whittaker.

Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker have previously crossed paths inside the octagon at UFC 243. The Nigerian-born secured a stunning knockout win against the ‘Reaper’ in the second round of the bout.

Despite the loss in the title fight against Izzy, ‘The Reaper’ remained determined in the promotion. He quickly bounced back in the win column. He defeated many big names in the middleweight roster in the quest for the gold strap. And after remaining unbeaten in his last three fights, Whittaker has finally earned a chance to avenge his loss.

Meanwhile, Izzy has been very active in the promotion ever since the Whittaker fight. And given his previous fight results, many consider him as one of the best middleweight fighters in UFC. This will surely be one of the best rematches of 2022.
