The UFC has been under fire for allegedly not paying its fighters their worth. Hence, many fighters have openly spoken about the pay issues they have been facing; one of them being the heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou. Boxer Jake Paul also took digs at Dana White to increase the fighter’s pay. Therefore, in the wake of such criticism, a UFC fighter came forward to support the promotion.

Flyweight, Matthew Christopher Schnell, stepped in to defend the UFC. He had a message for those who have been discussing the fighter pay issue. According to Schnell, the viewers ought to buy PPVs if they want to see the fighters get paid more.

He said, “All these people b***hing about fighter pay and they’re stealing every single fight. Shut your f**king mouth. Buy the pay-per-view motherf**ker. You want to see us get paid more? Buy the pay-per-views, you goofs.”
Matt Schnell will be seen fighting at UFC 271. The event takes place on February 12 at Toyota Center, in Houston, Texas. He will be a part of the prelims and will face Alex Perez. The 15-5-0 record holder is hoping to pocket a win after his last bout against Rogerio Bontorin ended with a no contest.

The event features Israel Adesanya versus Robert Whittaker as the main fight. Thus, it is about to be a remarkably awaited fight. With Schnell’s comments in mind, it would be interesting to see how many PPVs the main event sells.
