Paulo ‘The Eraser’ Costa on social media is a gift that keeps on giving. The Brazilian has never shied away from posting what he wants to or finds funny. He recently shared a meme on Instagram that contained photoshopped pictures of himself, Jorge Masvidal, and Colby Covington.

The Instagram post contained a picture from the popular TV series ‘Prison Break’. In the picture, the face of Lincoln Burrows was replaced with a photoshopped picture of Costa, and the face of Michael Scofield was replaced with a picture of Masvidal.

He also added a picture of Colby Covington wearing an “NYPD” hat, trying to poke fun at him and comparing him to a cop. Costa captioned the picture, “Call the f*k police”.
Paulo Costa’s Journey in the UFC
Paulo Costa has had a bitter-sweet journey in the UFC. His first fight in the promotion was back in 2017.
His fighting style was very aggressive and caught the attention of fans. Upon joining the UFC, he had a quick and meteoric rise in the promotion, stopping every fighter he faced in his first four fights. This included wins over big names – Johny Hendricks and Uriah Hall.
He then faced off against veteran Yoel ‘Soldier of God’ Romero, who he defeated after three close rounds via a unanimous decision. This big win earned him the title shot against the champion, Israel Adesanya. This fight received a lot of hype but unfortunately didn’t go as planned for ‘The Eraser’.

Costa lost the fight in the second round after being finished via punches. From here, his career went sideways as he could not capitalize on his chance to win the title. He believed that the weight cut had got to him and was the primary reason for his loss.
So he jumped to light heavyweight to fight his next opponent, Marvin Vettori. Unfortunately, he couldn’t come out on top again after losing via unanimous decision at the end of five rounds. Costa will now look to get revenge as he takes on the likes of Luke Rockhold at UFC 277.
