Dana White is known for being as outspoken as they come. The UFC CEO did not reach the peak of battle sport without having a tongue as sharp as a dagger. Recently, he became perhaps a bit too candid about his rival promotion Bellator. This may have caused backlash from some fans but not entirely from the CEO of the organization.

The UFC Boss did not hold back maybe because many are quick to consider Bellator being the second in line when it comes to money and fame. Even the CEO of the company was quick to state their place in the MMA world. So, how did the Bellator boss respond to White’s insults?

Is it even a surprise when the CEO of a sports promotion claims to not worry about White? The UFC boss is notorious for making unhinged remarks about promotions that compete with his own. Or about people that don’t sit well with him. So it wasn’t much of a shock to Bellator CEO Scott Coker when White expressed himself.

“Why on God’s green f*** Earth would anybody buy Bellator?” White had said in a press conference after the last Contender Series. However, later on, White would go on to change his stance regarding his feelings on Bellator. “If Bellator continues to exist, it’s not a bad thing. It’s a good thing.”

After Bellator 3oo, where Usman Nurmagomedov overpowered Brent Primus, Coker appeared before the press. The event was a big hit especially because of the name Nurmagomedov. Yes, the fighter is Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin brother. Coker looked pretty satisfied with the event and opened up about how White’s comments didn’t affect him.

“I’m not really impacted by that, I really try to focus on business at hand and what’s important to the growth of this company and the growth of our employees to try to keep this going forward. So to me, I focus on what we’re doing and not consider any outside disturbance.”

Clearly, Coker couldn’t care less about White and his words. The CEO is as immovable as White is aggressive at times. The two promotions will obviously keep fighting overtime for better athletes and a larger audience. But that’s just how the sport is and has been for ages and Bellator is looking forward to big changes ahead.

Will Bellator be purchased by the PFL?

For months, rumors about the PFL purchasing Bellator spread around the internet. A media outlet recently reported that Bellator may be bought with a price tag of $500 million by the PFL. However, so far there have been no solid confirmations. This probably prompted the remarks from White when he heard about the news- “Why anybody would buy Bellator is beside me, but sit back and see how this plays out. I’m excited.”

Is UFC CEO Dana White a Billionaire?

Currently, the PFL is in the final stages of buying out Bellator. This hardly seemed to concern White earlier when he said that buying them at $500 million was a “steal”. Fans were dazed and confused when he eventually changed his stance but it no longer matters. In a world of changing stances, Bellator’s CEO remains pretty nonchalant. Maybe it’s his way of dealing with his competitors.
