Imagine being a celebrated mixed martial artist, and a random guy in the street claims that he could put you to sleep. Wouldn’t that be crazy! Well, something like that actually happened with our very own Sean O’Malley. You see, the former UFC bantamweight champion is a prankster. He used to collaborate with ThatWasEpic and pranked people on the streets for YouTube videos. Of course, these pranks were all harmless. Some of these pranks even fetched the bantamweight fighter some cash. But there was a time when ‘Suga’ faced a little bit of danger.
No, we’re not talking about the time when the police had to bust into O’Malley’s house during a livestream. We’re actually talking about the time when ‘Suga’ pranked people and claimed to hook their vehicles up for apparently breaking the parking laws in 2022. O’Malley and Juan Gonzalez from ThatWasEpic pretended to tow people’s cars and then gave them $1000. Of course, that was epic for everyone in the video. However, things were about to take a wrong turn with one guy.
Gonzalez and ‘Suga’ went about their prank when they stumbled upon a man who was pretty upset about the act. In a resurfaced video, the man could be heard saying, “Bro, I got a family member and a brother that’s a f—– sergeant. Nah, f— that. It’s not hooked up. I’ll call my brother. He’s a sergeant.” That’s when O’Malley decided to come out with the truth and revealed that it was a prank. But the man in all blacks and a ponytail was almost ready to knock the pranksters out cold. He said, “Bruh, you almost got slept, bruh. Crazy, bruh. ‘Cause I’ve been to prison for assault twice already.”

Needless to say, O’Malley couldn’t believe his ears at first. He went on to confirm if the man was really serious about fighting him and Gonzalez. The subject of the prank confessed, “If you guys would’ve tried to hook it up bro, both you guys probably would’ve been slept. I’m a Golden Gloves boxer.” While that’s something that we’d never really know, many fight fans believed that the Golden Gloves boxer could’ve slept O’Malley.

Fans believe random guy’s claims about putting Sean O’Malley to sleep
Most of the fans seemed to stand in favor of the buffed-up man in black. Is it because O’Malley failed to defend his belt against Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306? Maybe… But if we look at the scenario through a logical sense, the fans might be right. One fan commented, “If he got the first dig in. Anyone can be slept. UFC fighter or anyone. But in reality Sean would of done him.” Another fan put a street fight as the source of the self-proclaimed Golden Gloves contender’s power. The comment read, “He could probably take Sean in a street fight.” Meanwhile, a few others believed that the size difference could have played a major role in getting O’Malley to sleep. A fan wrote, “Sean’s little, he might’ve got slept.” One more fan commented, “being a sleeper build is literally the best. Just make sure he doesn’t stab you tho Sean.”
What’s your perspective on:
Could a random street guy really 'sleep' Sean O'Malley, or is it all just talk?
Have an interesting take?
On the other hand, there were some fight fans who weren’t ready to buy the random guy’s claims. One fan commented, “Yeah he ain’t sleeping anybody.” Another fan seemed to believe that the man was likely a liar. The fan wrote, “He’s definitely telling everyone he’s 20-0 in the streets.” Another fan added, “Bro said “I’m a golden glove boxer” to an elite UFC fighter in the street lmao.”

And as the video continued to travel through the social media platform, many fans commended ‘Suga’ for showing his calm demeanor. One of the fans reflected on this and wrote, “Respect to Sean for staying quiet because he knows what he could’ve done.” Needless to say, things could have gone severely wrong had O’Malley escalated the situation. Instead, he showed why he’s a true fighter.
What are your thoughts on O’Malley pranking people and almost getting slept? Do you think ‘Suga’ could have handled the man in a street fight? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
