Arguably one of the greatest female fighters of all time, Ronda Rousey now faces a new challenge in her life after conquering both the MMA and WWE arenas. What’s the challenge, you may ask? Well, the former UFC champ will have to deal with two kids inside her home as the fighter has embraced motherhood for the second time as she and her family welcomed her second daughter.

The former UFC and WWE champ took to her Instagram handle to upload multiple pics with her family and their new daughter with a caption that read, “Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm, into a city on fire. So grateful she made it safe and sound: Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne.” The video showcased the 37-year-old holding a little Liko’ula while her 3-year-old daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, who now has a responsibility as a big sister, admired her new sibling. Travis Browne couldn’t have been happier as he witnessed the three most important women in his life together.

Ronda Rousey was the first female UFC fighter to achieve a level of stardom comparable to, or even surpassing, that of male fighters. However, she soon transitioned to WWE, after her career took a different turn when she suffered a series of losses. After retiring from the world of combat sports, Ronda Rousey shared her story in her autobiography, where she criticized her professional relationship with WWE head honcho Vince McMahon. Now, Ronda is enjoying life with her husband and children, planning to close the combat sports chapter of her life for good.

The video was wholesome, with most fans praising the UFC Hall of Famer’s journey into motherhood. However, what intrigued some fans—and even led them to call out the former UFC champion—was the name she chose for her newborn daughter. Let’s take a closer look at what fans had to say about it.

Fans call out Ronda Rousey for her daughter’s name

Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne is a name that would take a lot of effort to even pronounce right. A social media user sent out a sarcastic comment down her way saying, “Did you go into Word and just punch the keyboard and name her whatever came up?”

Generally, these kinds of names are a part of Hawaiian culture and one might be shocked to know that Travis Browne does have some Hawaiian ancestry. His father has Native Hawaiian ancestry and he has a European American mother. A fan who was unaware of this fact called out Rousey for it, “Are either of them Samoan or Hawaiian?” Another ignorant fan called out the former fighter, “Stealing Hawaiian Culture. What a classless thing to do”

Well, Hawaiians do give their kids some pretty phenomenal names but even they would be surprised to witness Ronda Rousey’s name for her two daughters. The older one is named La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō and the newborn is known as Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne. “Even this Hawaiian can hardly pronounce her name.”

Finally, after the flurry of criticism, a fan was wise enough to congratulate the couple for their blessed daughter, “Omgggggg… congratulations. Her story is already starting off a blaze.”

Last but not least, we get another congratulatory message from the fans, “Congratulations and all the best for you and the family!! Cheers.”
