Even though Nurmagomedov was one of the finest in the world before retiring last year, many debate his status as the greatest of all time. This is because he didn’t have enough title defenses and retired very early in his career. Another argument for him not be at G.O.A.T. status is the fact that he has missed weight twice and has often struggled to cut weight.

El Cucuy’ has been taking shots at ‘The Eagle’ ever since this incident, hoping to get a fight against him. Recently, Ferguson took to his Twitter once again to troll Khabib.

Khabib had missed weight ahead of his fourth UFC fight against Abel Trujillo at UFC 160. He also didn’t make it to the weigh-ins ahead of his fight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 209 and later had to pull out as he was hospitalized. This was one of five times that their fight fell through.

Nurmagomedov retired after his bout against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254. ‘The Eagle’ said that he is retiring as he made a promise to his mother that he won’t return to fight without his father by his side. His fight at UFC 254 was the only fight that Nurmagomedov did not have his father at his corner.
