Former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo is training with the former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in the quest to get his flyweight gold back from Brandon Moreno.
‘Deus da Guerra’ will face the Mexican flyweight champion in a trilogy bout at UFC 270. And he promised to finish ‘The Assassin baby’ inside the cage as an act of revenge for betraying Cejudo.
Ahead of the trilogy fight, Figueiredo appeared in interaction with The Schmo. He gave an update on his training and talked about his improvement. While talking about his opponent, the Brazilian said, “My second fight was not too good, and I did not feel good. But now with the new trainer, I am gonna do great.”

“I gonna take the Brandon Moreno’s head off. This fight is going to be a wonderful fight. I’m very motivated, and he betrayed Henry Cejudo. You know the history, yeah? Henry Cejudo let the crybaby, the assassin baby, live two years in his house. And after that cry baby, Brandon Moreno get out and helped another guy to fight against Henry Cejudo. He betrayed Henry Cejudo and Henry Cejudo is really pi**ed off and now it’s going to be revenge. It’s going to be a big revenge right now.”
Earlier in 2016, both Cejudo and Moreno had a friendly bond and were training partners. However, during the TUF 24 Cejudo and Benavidez were picked as coaches by the show, and the latter choose Moreno on his team.
Soon things changed as Moreno and Benavidez became good friends. The reigning flyweight champion also joined Benavidez’s fight camp for his bout against Cejudo at the TUF finale. The latter lost the fight and called Moreno a traitor ever since then.
