The recent antitrust lawsuit against the UFC may spell big trouble for the promotion. Dana White has long been accused of underpaying fighters, having exploitative contracts, and overall throwing fighters under the bus for profit.

Dana White reveals what still makes him tick

Morgan asked Dana White whether money was a big motivator in his career. The Las Vegas resident stated that money has never been the primary reason that he has led the UFC, but only a byproduct, and that his main motivation was breaking records. White pointed out that if money was his primary motivator, he would have quit in 2016. White and the Fertitta brothers had sold the UFC for $4 billion that year.

“It [money] never has been it’s never been a huge motivator for me. If money was the big motivation for me, I probably would have retired in 2016. But, no, it’s not taking the sport to the level that we’re taking it to. There’s still a lot of work to do here at the UFC to get to where I Envision this being from day one,” he said. “What I love to do, I like breaking records. That’s what I like to do I like doing things that people say can’t be done and when you do those things money is just what happens,” White added.

Dana White reveals the truth about his net worth

White was asked if he knew how much he was worth by Morgan. White stated that he has a rough idea but does not focus on it. “Not to the penny. I have an idea. But no, I don’t I don’t really focus on that… Yeah if I drop dead tomorrow, I think my family is going to do okay they’re going to be all right,” the UFC CEO said.

Morgan asked if Forbes’ estimation of half a billion dollars was accurate. White, however, did not give a straight answer and stated that most people’s claimed net worth online and on Forbes was inaccurate unless those people submitted it to Forbes themselves with the supporting documentation.

Let me tell you this when you go online and you type in what somebody’s net worth, and you type in what somebody’s net worth is, every single one of them are bulls***,” White said.

Some think that the reason why White is avoiding the question directly may be because the wily Morgan may use that information to draw a contrast between his wealth and how little some of his fighters make. Others, however, think the UFC boss may just not want to brag about his wealth. What do you think about the exchange between White and Morgan?
