The trash talk keeps flowing between UFC stars Chael Sonnen and Conor McGregor. Their feud, which started back in 2023, shows no sign of cooling down. Last week on his podcast, Sonnen threw some shade at McGregor, claiming his recent injury was a lie and that he wasn’t actually in rehabilitation. McGregor clapped back on social media by posting pics of his injury.

However, believing the controversy had stopped there, fans were mistaken. Sonnen isn’t done yet. He’s firing shots at McGregor again and even bringing up the idea of a boxing match between them.

Chael Sonnen unleashes verbal barrage on Conor McGregor

When Conor McGregor posted his injury on social media to prove it to Chanel Sonnen, who had previously claimed McGregor was in rehab, he also added a remark in the caption that insulted Sonnen, calling him a “hoe.” In response, on his podcast Good Guy / Bad Guy on ESPN, Chael Sonnen called Conor McGregor a “pimp.

Chael Sonnen isn’t backing down. He just took to Twitter/X, calling out Conor McGregor for a boxing challenge. Sonnen said something along the lines of, “If he ever drank enough of his own whiskey to agree to box me. I would break my own toe w/ a hammer the day before the fight to prove he’s… P***Y.” However, right now Conor McGregor has not responded to Sonnen on the issue, but when McGregor does reply, it will likely be intense.

Furthermore, the rivalry between Conor Mcgregor and Chael Sonnen escalated in November 2023 when Sonnen claimed that the 2017 boxing match between Flyod Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor was a flop, citing many empty seats in the arena. This caught McGregor’s attention, and their feud has continued since then.

Sonnen reveals hidden truth about Conor McGregor’s iconic fight

Remember the world-famous 2017 boxing match that captured the attention of non-combat sports fans worldwide, featuring then UFC champion Conor McGregor and boxing legend Flyod Mayweather Jr. It was touted as one of the biggest prize fights of all time. However, Chael Sonnen was not satisfied with the promoter’s claim. He revealed that he was present at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

In his 2023 interview with Ariel Helwani, Chel Sonnen said, “The biggest lie that I lived through. I heard the term fake news in 2016 but didn’t believe that that was true, thought that was just something you said. I lived through Mayweather [vs.] McGregor, where I stood on the floor of the arena and was instructed to tell the world it was sold out and I could look and there were thousands of empty seats.

However, the Nevada State Athletic Commission reported a strong showing at the Mayweather vs McGregor fight, with a live gate of $55 million. This attendance figure differs from Chael Sonnen’s claim in a 2023 interview, where he mentioned seeing empty seats. The back-and-forth between Sonnen and McGregor continues, with Sonnen’s comment yet to be addressed by McGregor’s team. All we can do is wait and see if there’s a response.
