Alex Pereira‘s announcement that he’ll be moving up to light heavyweight following his loss at UFC 287 got fans of the former champ buzzing in excitement. Although the timeline for his next fight hasn’t been decided yet, the Brazilian clearly has no lack of opponents to welcome him to the weight class whenever he decides to step into the cage again.

Now in what could turn out to be a huge update, current light heavyweight champ Jamahal Hill has come out with a message for ‘Poatan’ on his official Instagram. Following his post, fans of both athletes reacted to Hill’s comments about welcoming him to the 205 lbs division. Considering the earlier back and forth that the two fighters had, this fight could turn out to be Hill’s first title defense after winning the light heavyweight gold at UFC 283.
