As expected from most Brazilians, Norma Dumont showcased dominant tactics in almost all areas. From the start, she took the fight to Chandler. When the Stockton native came in to attack, Dumont canceled her with some excellent counters. ‘The Immortal’ rocked Chandler so badly that it led to a hilarious moment in which the 29-year-old had to flee across the Octagon. This was just a sign of things to come. Chandler, who wanted to welcome Ronda Rousey if she returns to the UFC, showcased a rather disappointing performance at UFC Vegas 77.

Norma Dumont looked in control right from the beginning and even chased the Stockton native down in hopes of ending the fight early, but the fight lasted the entire three rounds. ‘The Immortal’ showcased her dominance by landing some great strikes and body shots. When Chelsea Chandler regained her composure, she landed some great strikes, too. However, they were not enough. At the midway mark, Chandler attempted a knee bar. Dumont successfully defended against Chandler’s knee bar and came close to taking her back.

The Stockton native made a second attempt to go for a limb and managed to take the Brazilian’s back, although her hooks were not fully secured. The fight, which started off with strong strikes, slowed down as it progressed. Chandler appeared to have difficulty finding the strength to generate power during the fight.
