Conor McGregor’s ventures outside the Octagon are soaring to new heights! The Irish MMA icon had launched his now famous, ‘Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey’ in 2018 and later sold his stake in the product for a whopping $600 million. He also purchased a pub in South Dublin in 2020 that he christened, ‘The Black Forge Inn’ and also launched ‘Forged Irish Stout’ in the United States in reference to the pub’s name.
The products have gained so much popularity that in honor of St. Paddy’s Day, even Ariel Helwani showcased several products from McGregor’s venture on his show. This led to the Irish superstar taking to social media to give a shout-out to Helwani for promoting his products and even hinting at a possible appearance on his show!
Conor McGregor’s ‘Black Forge’ products make an appearance on The MMA Hour

During a recent episode of The MMA Hour, Ariel Helwani and the show’s crew had a little ‘unboxing’ ceremony for ‘Forged Irish Stout’ and ‘The Black Forge Inn’ merchandise on the show as a way to prepare for St.Paddy’s Day.
While unboxing the goods, Helwani exclaimed, “I’ve got boxes upon boxes in honor of St.Paddy’s Day, we’ve got the Black Forge (T-shirt). We’ve got so much stuff here.”

Another member of the crew pointed out that he’s also got “some Forged Irish Stout stuff back here” and showcased playing cards branded with McGregor’s pub’s name on them. And he exclaimed, “This is great branding you know…”

And so, Conor McGregor responded to the clip on X by posting, “The man! Enjoy brother Ariel, happy St. Paddy’s week, see you soon”. This drew a reply from Helwani who responded by stating, “And to you too! Thanks to you and the team. See you next week? ”, indicating that a McGregor appearance on the show might be taking place soon!
As McGregor continues to expand his business empire and explore opportunities beyond the Octagon, fans will be eagerly awaiting to see what’s up the Irishman’s sleeve next.
And with his enormous success, McGregor may be closing in on achieving a rare status in all of sports, an honor also claimed by an NBA legend!
‘The Notorious’ wants to eclipse Michael Jordan
In 2021, Conor McGregor topped Forbes’s list of rich athletes after selling his whiskey business for $600million. But, due to an injury suffered in July 2021, he slipped to 33rd place on the list two years later.

And as he is gearing up for his long-awaited return to the Octagon, McGregor is eyeing billionaire status and reaching the same echelons of success as Michael Jordan! According to a recent study by Statista, Jordan holds the top spot as the highest-paid athlete of all time in the world as of 2022.
In an interview with Megan Olivi, the Irishman had stated, “It’s motivating, Michael Jordan’s at the top spot, obviously with the Jordan brand that took him there, he’s worth multiple billions… I’m closing in on a billion, I think I’m at about $650m all in that I’ve made.”
