“I’m happy with what I’ve done,” said Conor McGregor over a month ago, hinting at possibly ending his UFC career after nearly four years away from action. However, the Irishman never stops teasing a potential return, and how does he do that? Well, McGregor has shared yet another training footage, but fans seem to have had it with his videos on social media.

Conor McGregor seems pretty busy and occupied with his aspirations of becoming the President of Ireland. Adding to that, he’s got many business ventures and the BKFC promoter gig, which has kept him away from a return to the UFC. But some would believe ‘The Notorious’s recent training footage might create some confusion among fans, and one of them seemingly saw right through McGregor’s tactics.

When fans came across the recent training footage from Conor McGregor, one of them, with the username @CrooklyMMA on X, claimed that Conor McGregor is just trying to deceive investors and fight promoters by teasing that he’s coming back when his career seems over by a long shot. With a lot of conviction, the X user said, “Say it with me, kids: Conor McGregor is never fighting again.”

Fans put a full-stop to Conor McGregor return talks after uninspiring training footage

The fans seem fed up with the constant teases from Conor McGregor that never materialize. As one fan claimed that what the Irishman was doing on social media was “embarrassing,” another fan commented, “Conor is NEVER fighting again, that’s a fact,” echoing the aforementioned sentiment regarding the former UFC double champion’s career. Moreover, McGregor has shared many training videos while being away from action. And because of this, one X user claimed that he might have come across the recent training footage in the past. I knew I’d seen this footage before.”

But then the jokes came in as a fan brought up a recent trend that’s been going on. As such, a fan claimed that Conor McGregor was preparing to fight gorillas. “He’s training to fight 100 gorillas,” that fan added. Furthermore, at the stage that the Irishman is right, fans believe that he can only be able to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, who’s been chasing a boxing match against Conor McGregor. “He’s going to fight Jake Paul … and lose,” that fan commented.

Additionally, Conor McGregor has been making headlines, but not for his making a proper return to the Octagon. On that note, another fan appeared to have given up hope that he’ll ever see him in action again, and said, “Yeah, it’s over for him.” Meanwhile, the lack of big stars has called for a star fighter to step up in the UFC. With McGregor sharing training footage, a fan claimed that “people want to believe so badly right now” that the double champion could make a comeback.

Well, Conor McGregor did mention in late 2023 that he still has a couple of fights left on his contract. So, maybe we get to see him fight sometime in the future. What do you think? Have you given up on a comeback from the Irishman as well? Drop your comments below.
