The UFC has returned to Singapore this weekend, presenting an enticing array of matchups. This marks the sixth venture of the organization to this Asian city-state, with the previous visit in June 2022. The spotlight of the night is on the main event between featherweight division powerhouses Max Holloway and Chan Sung Jung. These renowned fighters have been prominent figures in their division for a long time but are set to face each other in the Octagon for the first time.

Before fans could witness the bout between Holloway and Chan Sung Jung, they were lucky enough to watch the electrifying bout between Chidi Njokuani and Michal Oleksiejczuk. The bout was an exciting spectacle for the MMA fans, which ended with Njokuani facing a disheartening loss. During the middleweight preliminary bout, Oleksiejczuk took severe head kicks from Chidi Njokuani. However, this energized Oleksiejczuk, who swiftly countered and took the fight to the ground. He then dominated Njokuani, ending the bout in the first round.

The bout between Chidi Njokuani and Michal Oleksiejczuk took MMA fans to the edge of their seats. From the very beginning of the bout, ‘Hussar’s entire concentration was on taking down Njokuani. ‘Chidi Bang Bang’ was the former contract winner of Dana White’s Contender Series.

During the bout, he did not get to change gears as he lost to ‘Hussar’ in the very first round of the bout via TKO. After his loss at UFC Fight Night 225, he is on a three-fight losing streak. Before fighting in UFC Singapore, Njokuani faced off against Albert Duraev at UFC on ESPN 43. Back then, he lost the bout via split decision after a three-round bout. Now, fans believe that he has nothing more to offer and should retire.

Fans react to ‘Chidi Bang Bang’s latest loss

Soon after the bout between Njokuani and Oleksiejczuk came to an end, a fan suggested that ‘Chidi Bang Bang’ should retire. He felt that the Las Vegas native was not at all durable inside the octagon.

According to another fan, the 34-year-old has great power and skills but lacks conditioning. He believes that is the major reason why he lost energy in the very first round.

After a submission loss to Caio Baralho at UFC Vegas 72 in April, Oleksiejczuk rebounded with a victory. Before that setback, the 28-year-old had consecutive knockout victories over Cody Brundage and Sam Alvey, making it six wins in his last eight fights.

In UFC Fight Night 225 when Njokuani lost his footing, Oleksiejczuk started to punch him nonstop. This ended up in the referee stopping the fight and later, ‘Hussar was declared as the winner. However, a fan felt that it was an early stoppage.

Similar comments followed.

Another fan, too, pointed out that it was an early stoppage.

One of the fans was clearly upset with the performance of the former Dana White’s Contender Series contract winner.

From the reactions of the fans, it is clear that they believed that Njokuani should retire, as he lacked many skills as a fighter.
