Henry Cejudo’s UFC retirement was a weird saga. The former UFC dual champion retired from the sport and shocked the fans, as he was still in his prime. Yet he stayed in the fighting realm and continuously teased a return. Eventually, he got his name back in the USADA pool. His bitter rival TJ Dillashaw recently made comments about ‘Triple C’ taking a U-turn to his retirement.

In a conversation with Submission Radio, former UFC bantamweight champion mocked Cejudo‘s decision to retire in the first place. He said, “When he retired, I think it was kind of a ploy to try to get him to get paid more. That he was worth more than he was. But the UFC was like, we don’t give a sh**.”
However, Dillashaw praised Cejudo’s accolades and spirit to compete, “I knew he was going to come back. I believe he’s a competitor; He’s a gold medalist and a world champion in the UFC. So, he’s got that competition in his blood and he feels like he quit a little early, right?”

TJ Dillashaw reiterated that Cejudo’s retirement was only ‘to get paid more.’ However, Dillashaw was complimentary of Cejudo’s skill set inside the Octagon and even backed him to beat Alexander Volkanovski, if the featherweight champion gets his hand raised against Max Holloway at UFC 276.
TJ Dillashaw wants to avenge the Henry Cejudo loss
The former bantamweight champion, ‘Killashaw’ failed in his attempt to create history when he fought Henry Cejudo for the flyweight championship. Cejudo sparked Dillashaw quickly, however, according to Dillashaw the ref stopped the bout early, and thus, he believes he has a score to settle against Cejudo.

Dillashaw said, “He [Henry Cejudo] comes to 35s and that’s awesome. The chips are all kind of falling perfectly for me to avenge that one. It would be something I would love to do.”
Cejudo is eyeing a matchup against Alexander Volkanovski and becomes the first person to hold three UFC championships. However, UFC President Dana White is not into the idea, unless Cejudo competes against a top contender in the featherweight division.
