Fresh UFC prospect Chris Curtis will soon return to the UFC octagon in an interesting middleweight bout in April.

UFC had some of the best events last year. And is now preparing for an action-packed 2022 for the fans. Hence, the promotion is stacking up several exciting bouts for events this year.

Last weekend, UFC had its first pay-per-view of the year that featured two amazing title bouts. The heavyweight title clash between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane. Also, a flyweight title trilogy between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo.

However, the promotion will have yet another pay-per-view on 9th April and will feature some exciting bouts on its fight cards too. Recently, UFC added one more bout to its fight card of UFC 273.

The American middleweight will take on the South African fighter inside the cage. However, the venue and the place for the event are yet to be announced. MMA journalist Mike Heck of MMA Fighting confirmed the news on Tuesday.

‘The Action Man’ is a product of the Dana White Contender Series. He is currently undefeated in the promotion and will look to maintain his winning streak against the South African fighter.

Meanwhile, ‘Stillknocks’ is also undefeated in the UFC. He is currently on a four-fight win streak. Both the fighters are yet to be ranked on the middleweight roster of UFC.

Hence, it is an important fight for both the middleweight combatant as a win will cement their position in the division. Ahead of the fight, let’s take a brief look at their careers.

Chris Curtis vs Dricus Du Plessis: Brief career overview

‘The Action Man’ is a 36 bouts veteran fighter. He has a professional fighting career of 28-8 under his name. Curtis has fifteen knockouts and two submission wins under his name.

The American-born fighter was on a five-fight undefeated streak before his UFC debut. He has competed in three UFC bouts and has finished all his opponents in the promotion. He also won a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus for his knockout win in December last year.

On the other hand, ‘Stillknocks’ has a professional MMA record of 16-2, with seven knockouts and nine submission wins under his name. He made his UFC debut in 2020 with a two-fight win streak.

The South African fighter has competed in two UFC bouts and won them both via a knockout. He also won a ‘Performance Of The Night’ for his previous win at UFC 264.

Both the combatants are undefeated in the promotion. However, one of them won’t be after UFC 273.
