Jairzinho Rozenstruik will fight Ciryl Gane in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card in February. The card was originally scheduled to be headlined by a light-heavyweight contest between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka. The heavyweight duo was originally scheduled for a March 13 card, but they have a new date now.

‘Bigi Boy’ is coming off a knockout win over former champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC 252. On the other hand, Ciryl Gane controversially finished Dos Santos in UFC 256. With both fighters having powerful striking prowess, the bout is set to be a banger.

Recently, Rozenstruik announced the new date for the bout on his social media, but there is yet to be any official announcement from the UFC.

Gane, on the other hand, holds a professional record of 7-0. Four of those wins have come in the UFC. The Frenchman has finished six of his opponents, three by KO/TKO and three by submission. His most notable victim to date has been Junior Dos Santos.

‘Bigi Boy’ started off his UFC career in an exciting fashion. Four back-to-back finishes in his first four fights set him up for a cracking clash against Francis Ngannou at UFC 249. Rozenstruik specifically asked the UFC for that match up, as he believed he had the recipe to trouble Ngannou. But it backfired on him as Ngannou knocked him out brutally within 20 seconds.

But since, he has beaten Dos Santos in impressive fashion. That has put him right back in the discussion of top heavyweights and future title challengers. Now another win over Gane, a rising star, will surely skyrocket his stocks yet again in the landscape of the heavyweight division of the UFC.
