Claressa Shields Reveals When She Will Return for Her Next Fight

Claressa Shields is a bona fide legend when it comes to boxing. And now the multiple-time boxing champion has decided to show her class in MMA. ‘T-Rex’ recently fought in her first-ever MMA fight at the PFL 4 event on Jun 10, 2021. Shields showed her immense talent in that fight and won it via a 3rd round TKO.
Ever since Shields’s victory people from all over the world have been wanting to see the legendary fighter back in action. There has been much speculation about when we could see the fighter return to action. Now during a recent interview, Shields talked about when she would look to make her return to the cage.

Shields said, “You can expect to see me again inside the cage, I believe in sometime in August, September, and then before the end of the year. It’s only a few more girls I want to fight in boxing. So hopefully that I can get the fights I want in boxing and I can get the pay. So as soon as that’s done, I’ll probably be full-time MMA, probably in the next year, depending on who I want.”
While many would believe Shields would look to take some time away for preparation, the fighter seems eager to get back into the cage as frequently as possible. Therefore, we can hope to meet the legendary fighter back in the cage sooner than we expected.

The reason behind this is that Shields wants to be the first person to hold the MMA and boxing world title at the same time. While this might seem like an impossible task, many believe that if someone can do it, that is Shields.
Whether Shields is able to become an MMA champ while she is a boxing champ we will see. However, one thing is for sure Claressa Shields certainly has the talent and caliber to achieve such an extraordinary feat.
