UFC welterweights Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington are divided on several aspects in the MMA sphere; however, their political views align. The former teammates and roommates took to Twitter and gave their immediate reactions to the 2020 Presidential Elections. Former Vice President Joe Biden beat out Donald Trump at the polls to become the forty-sixth President of the United States.

His Tweet readout, “Is Joe Biden really just taking the mic to talk about how “patient” we have to be and how “long” we are going to have to wait. AKA we are going to contest these results…hard. Wake up sheep.”

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington: Pillars of support

Colby Covington has also been a clear-cut advocate for Donald Trump. He became the first fighter to present a UFC belt to a sitting President. In turn, Trump has also been receptive to Colby and called him live on air following his dominant win over Tyron Woodley. There’s no doubt that Trump’s close association with the UFC brass and several prominent fighters will be a talking point.
