‘Chaos’ will be taking on his former best friend and teammate, Jorge Masvidal, at the upcoming event of UFC 272, this coming weekend. In the build-up to their fight, Masvidal and Covington appeared in an interview together, and it was pure chaos.

Colby compared Masvidal to American football quarterback, Dak Prescott. He said,” yeah, he’s getting paid a lot of money like Dak Prescott for the Cowboys, but he ain’t doing nothing.

Both of them went at each other during the interview and had a heated exchange. Masvidal said that Covington didn’t pay his coach the money he owed him, and that’s where their rivalry began.

Masvidal said, “It first started off with this piece of s**t not paying my coach $12,500 for a fight. My coach saved his whole f**king career. Then when he had the chance to finally pay back that $12,500, he didn’t. So, I went out there and paid my coach out of my own pocket.

Covington denied these allegations and passed them off as ‘fake news.’

Colby Covington will come into UFC 272 with a ‘special flag’

Those who have seen Colby Covington outside the octagon know that he is a true American patriot. The fighter is vocal about his appreciation and support for law enforcement agencies and the US military. In a recent video uploaded by the UFC, Colby showed off the new flag he will carry for his bout at UFC 272.

Members of the Miami Beach Police Department signed the flag as a token of support for Covington‘s next bout. In the video, Colby said,” this is gonna be the flag that I walk out to the octagon with. I’m gonna fight hard for them and make sure that they’re inspired as much as they inspire me.”
