The UFC 281 didn’t leave the fans with any complaints. The superb bout of Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler enthralled MMA fans worldwide and the Madison Square Garden audience. Poirier managed to win he fought in the third round via submission. But he was still disgusted at some of the things done by Chandler to him in the course of their fight.

In the second round of the fight, Chandler successfully managed to mount himself on Poirier’s back, trying to get him in a rear naked choke. Poirier naturally placed his chin down to avoid it. But, ‘The Diamond’ complained that Chandler got his fingers into his mouth and applied upward pressure to lift his chin up and secure the choke.

The video of this entire post-winner-declaration altercation was shared by the MMA covering Instagram page, ‘freak MMA’. They captioned their post, “That was rude”.

After Poirier’s hand was raised, Chandler approached Poirier to hug out the hard feelings. But ‘The Diamond’ refused and spoke out his complaints to Chandler. He said, “You fu**kin’ stuck your fingers in my mouth. You know what you did.” He also stated, “I know I respect everything you’ve done. But this is my house, ” clarifying who is the boss in the Octagon.

Poirier’s words did not impress Chandler. He asked, “Which one? The Madison Square Garden?”. Poirier replied, “This one. The one you’re standing in right now”. The two exchanged a few more words, with Chandler saying, “You are a douche.”

However, Poirier never wanted to hear these words. He replied, “No, no. I’m just saying. I’m not saying f**k you”. Chandler also admitted Poirier’s legacy, saying, “Yeah bro. You’ve been here for 28 fights. I get it let’s go”. The two then finally hugged it out in the Octagon along with a fist bump.

What did the fans have to say?

The fans commented in favor of the fighter of their own choice. A lot of fans could be seen backing Chandler in this regard. But, then there also were some experienced MMA viewers, who chose to side with Poirier.

The noted UFC fighter, Nicolas ‘DanishDynamite’ Dalby, dug up on the caption given by the page. He commented, “What is rude?”. Being a fighter himself, Dalby obviously realized that Poirier had an actual reason to be cross. But, a fan wrote, “Disliking Dustin more and more”.

Another fan dug deep and commented, “Whole lotta casuals in here hating on Dustin. Hard to find another fighter that’s had the road he has, and Mike DID blow his nose on him and fishhook him. I’d be pissed, too”. But, one more contradicted him, writing, “Colby needs to humble Dustin”. He definitely wanted a Covington vs Poirier fight.

A few others chose to dig upon Poirier’s “this is my house” comment, writing, “This is my house, after ducking Colby”. One more fan wrote, “That is not your house NOT even close”.

While others had their own observations. One user wrote, “These two hate each other and like each other at the same time”. Another follower wrote, “Big Dan always in the middle of the most awkward exchanges”.
