It is very difficult for an MMA fighter to not receive some kind of heat from fans and analysts. Followers of the sport always choose their favorite fighters and tend to dislike their rivals. However, there are some MMA fighters that have close to zero haters in the realm of MMA. One of those fighters is Georges St-Pierre.
Georges St-Pierre, or GSP as he is commonly known, is undoubtedly one of the most beloved personalities in the world of UFC. His charming persona, incredible work ethic, and remarkable accomplishments have made him a fan favorite even years after his retirement.
Despite hanging up his gloves in 2019, GSP still maintains a level of fitness that many active fighters would envy. Showcasing this, he recently posted a video on Instagram that left the fans in awe.

Georges St-Pierre posts sparring footage on Instagram
He recently shared sparring footage on his social media account where he is training for jab counters, proving that his dedication to the sport is still intact. In his caption, GSP emphasizes the importance of repetition and good habits in training. “Always repeat good habits until it becomes automatic. Maybe one day it will save you”, GSP wrote.

GSP’s dominance in the UFC

Georges St-Pierre made his UFC debut in 2004 and quickly established himself as one of the top fighters in the welterweight division. Over the course of his career, GSP became known for his exceptional wrestling, striking, and overall athleticism, winning multiple titles and earning a reputation as one of the greatest fighters of all time. ‘Rush’ won the UFC welterweight title in 2006, but lost it in the very next fight. However, he reclaimed the title in 2008 and went on the defend it 9 times before vacating the title due to an injury.
St-Pierre returned to fighting in 2017 and fought the middleweight champion Michael Bisping with the title on the line. St-Pierre managed to defeat Bisping and became the middleweight champion. He later vacated the title and eventually announced his retirement. Throughout his career. GSP had a record of 26 wins and 2 losses.
