UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor has been on a losing streak and has managed to win only 1 of his last 4 fights. Things got bad to worse for McGregor as he broke his leg in his last fight against Dustin Poirier.

Following that fight, many believed that McGregor’s career had ended, however, Gilbert Burns doesn’t believe in that notion.

The former title challenger still sees a bright future for the former champion and hopes that he can make a turn against the welterweight champion. But all that will only be possible if he can find the right motivation and build a good team around him.

Conor McGregor must get rid of Yes men states Gilbert Burns

In a recent interview with Luke Thomas and Brian Campbell, Burns was quizzed about his thoughts on McGregor calling out Usman.

He said,” Lotta people ask to me, what do you think about Conor? I still think he can do very good, but he gotta make a big change. You know what changed with Masvidal when he went to the freaking survivor? It is kind of like a survivor, the Latino survivor, right? Whenever he went out? If Conor asks me what do you think, just freaking go away. Go to the freaking mountain, get all your training, out of freaking social media, out of freaking whiskey, and go train, go back to your roots.”

Burns also added that McGregor should train for like 5-6 months straight by gathering his old teammates. However, the only roadblock in this plan is the so-called ‘Yes Men’ who will make his return impossible. According to a report shared by MMA Junkie, the Irish mixed martial artist voiced his interest in battling Kamaru ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ Usman for Welterweight gold.

He Implied that the welterweight champ was copying his fighting style, “Usman even copying my shots now. Am I to fight this guy at some stage? I think so. Can’t be copying my words and my shots and not get a smack for it. I like 170. It’s mine soon.”
