Conor McGregor is still perhaps the number-one pick for a headline event at UFC 300. A star as big as him making a comeback to the octagon cannot be put on a minor card. In fact, Daniel Cormier has just opened up about the fights he would book for the pay-per-view if he could. And he certainly painted an interesting picture.

Recently, he appeared on the MMA Hour show and talked about how UFC 300 could be made even spicier. Take a look.

So, you’ve been excited at the sheer thought of your favorite Irishman making a comeback? You’re not alone. The whole of the UFC fandom has been excited about the big fight against Michael Chandler. Now, it may be close to actually happening.
The fight has been much hyped with call-outs and beef going back and forth. In the midst of it all is another exciting battle for the welterweight title between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington. Here’s how ‘DC’ felt the two fights could happen at the same pay-per-view.
“Conor McGregor versus Michael Chandler, I think you have to,” said Cormier. “. . . the winner of the pay-per-view next week or in two weeks I think that champion will be on UFC 300. Especially if it’s Colby Covington. You find a fight for Colby Covington. If Colby Covington wins you find a fight for him.”
Clearly, the hype around ‘Chaos’ winning the title is much more exciting. Edwards has held the title for a while now. This means the fight won’t be easy in any way. However, if Covington manages to pull together a win, he could be on the same card as ‘Mystic Mac’. But is McGregor really making the return? Here’s what his coach had to say about it.
