During an episode of his podcast, ‘The DC & RC Show’ Cormier asserted that McGregor, being the sport’s biggest star, should take the spotlight at UFC 300. He stated, “But if McGregor fights Diaz, that is what I believe draws the general fan in as much as anything that they could do in the UFC right now…”

Notably, Nate Diaz recently hinted at a trilogy with McGregor, showcasing an image of their face-off in the Octagon. As such, according to Cormier, this rubber match is an ideal candidate for the historic card, given the intrigue from their previous bouts and their status as two of the highest-grossing pay-per-views in UFC history! Despite acknowledging that both fighters may not be at their peak, Cormier believes their matchup still remains an attractive spectacle for fans!
