McGregor stands as the UFC’s most prominent star and was formerly a close friend of Lobov. They underwent years of training together at SBG Ireland, with McGregor serving as Lobov’s coach on The Ultimate Fighter, ultimately aiding Lobov in securing a UFC contract. In a summer interview with England’s TalkSport, Lobov disclosed that McGregor had once extended an offer for his involvement in Proper No. Twelve. However, Lobov declined the offer.

While having a conversation with TalkSport interview, Lobov revealed that McGregor sought his advice years ago on the prospect of launching a vodka brand in Iceland alongside Game of Thrones actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, famously known as “The Mountain.” Lobov, a Russian native now residing in Ireland, shared that he suggested an alternative idea involving Irish whiskey.
