Conor McGregor was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 264, where he took on Dustin Poirier for his trilogy fight. The 35-year-old lost the fight via doctor stoppage and suffered a horrendous leg injury. Since then McGregor is yet to feature in any fight and is facing the biggest gap of his career. UFC CEO Dana White recently appeared on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and was asked about a possible date for his return. White did not seem confident about the date and replied: “Hopefully this year. There is no date. I’m hoping for the fall. Hopefully, we get it done in the fall,”.

Thomas feels McGregor has passed his prime and gave his own reasons for his claims. He said: “Well, UFC president Dana White went on the Pat McAfee show this week and he was asked by Pat. ‘Hey, when is Conor coming back, and is he going to fight Michael Chandler?’ How old is Conor McGregor without looking it up? How old is he? The answer is 35. 35 years of age and in July he’ll be 36 years of age.”
