Conor McGregor Claims New ‘Highest-Paid’ Statement, Shares Debut Movie Details in a Series of Deleted Tweets

Conor McGregor is not just a crafty fighter, but also a highly skilled promoter. The Irishman’s brash talk and the cocky walk helped build his p0ersona and sell his fights. His promotional skills went a long way in helping him achieve a level of stardom that was undreamt of in the UFC and MMA. Now, the 34-year-old is using the same tactics to hype up his Hollywood debut.

Conor McGregor recently finished filming for his debut movie ‘Road House’. With filming out of the way, McGregor has turned his attention to promoting himself and the movie.

Conor McGregor claimed a new record following Road House filming

‘Road House’ will be a remake of the 1989 cult classic of the same name. Conor McGregor will star alongside Hollywood A-lister Jake Gyllenhaal in his debut acting venture. ‘Mystic Mac‘ recently took to Twitter to share his excitement, hype the movie and give the fans some inside information about the production.

The UFC’s maiden double champ revealed he added another record to his list of accolades. In a since-deleted tweet, McGregor claimed he became the highest-paid first-time actor of all time with ‘Road House’.

He wrote, “I’m the highest paid first time actor of all time. Add that to the rest of my accolades.

McGregor once said that he had an unhealthy obsession with spending money, but also a healthy obsession with making it. With his various business ventures and now his Hollywood debut, ‘The Notorious’ is well on track to making the big bucks.

He entertained a few more fans and gave some insights into his experience filming and doing his stunts. He also revealed some new information regarding the release of the film. However, he deleted all these interactions later.

McGregor says Road House will release in theatres first

In yet another deleted tweet, Conor McGregor announced on Twitter that his debut film will hit the big screen before being available on OTT platforms. He revealed this in response to a fan who asked him to weigh in on the streaming vs. theatrical release debate.

McGregor called this method “double cheques.” ‘The Notorious’ added that he expected Road House to be the most successful movie that followed this release pattern. He also mentioned that Disney did the same with him via ESPN+. The Irishman said it worked tremendously in their favor.

McGregor has been on the sidelines since July 2021 after his leg break. The UFC stalwart looks fully recovered, judging from his social media posts. He has also started talking about returning to the cage sometime next year. However, he is yet to get tested by USADA.
