Conor McGregor and UFC fans have been on an emotional rollercoaster ride since the UFC 303 press event fell off. Even the MMA analysts, the insiders, and the commentators have been casting doubts on the Irishman’s return on June 29. But guess what? There seems to be a glimmer of hope, as Michael Chandler‘s wife seemingly confirmed the status of Chandler’s fight with McGregor.

When the rumors started swirling that Conor McGregor’s fight had fallen off, what fueled those rumors even further was the fact that Michael Chandler came back home to Nashville, Tennessee, leaving his fight camp in South Florida. Why would he do that so close to the fight? Is the much-anticipated fight really in a jeopardized state? Well, it doesn’t seem so.

Michael Chandler’s wife confirms the Conor McGregor fight

The 7th-ranked lightweight fighter’s wife, Brie Chandler, announced on Instagram that she was making some family plans for July. She has got a vacation planned with her husband Michael, and her two kids. However, those plans will commence after the biggest fight, both record-wise and from a financial point of view, against Conor McGregor at UFC 303.

“Many of you are aware my husband fights for the UFC – I will be gone end of June, supporting him at his next fight June 29th,” wrote Brie Chandler on her Instagram story, which has now been removed.

She also added that she and her family wouldn’t be there to reach out until the 12th of July, which is when they plan to return. “We will then go on a family trip for much-needed time together after the chaos. Excited to see your faces when I return [June 25-July 12th],” Brie Chandler further wrote in the Instagram story.

We might have gotten a nod about the fight taking place, but we still don’t have anything on the canceled presser. However, the fight is still on and another indicator of that is Conor McGregor himself, as he shared his training footage amidst the negative rumors.

Yes, you heard it right. McGregor, amidst the negative speculations surrounding his return, has shut down his doubters on social media. The Irishman shared another footage from one of his recent sparring sessions, maintaining his stance on how seriously he is taking the fight against Michael Chandler. McGregor doesn’t want to go into his comeback fight, which has already smashed the gate record, with any bit of rust.

The fans joined in the comments, claiming that his previous post, where McGregor was seen lying in a hospital bed of sorts, was just a way of playing mind games with the ‘Iron’. Meanwhile, some of the fans loved seeing Conor McGregor’s movement and technique in the sparring video, praising his counter moves. All in all, the fans think McGregor is ready for the most anticipated fight in recent years.

If we take a look at what the UFC is doing, they haven’t called off the fight, which means we don’t have to worry about anything yet. But MMA is a crazy sport and anything can happen. What do you think?
