Conor McGregor answers Max Holloway’s call-out in his recent post

‘The Notorious’ one took to his X account to answer Holloway. Known for his aggressive responses, McGregor this time just wrote two words, “Congrats Max!’. The Dubliner even took out time to mock the current light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira.

The 35-year-old commented on the picture of Alex Pereira on his X account with a caption that read, “Mr potato head”. The post came after Alex Pereira showed his interest in making a move to the heavyweight division. With McGregor finally making a comeback, it will be interesting to see whether he fights Holloway in the future.

Holloway entered the fight as an underdog, but completely turned the tables with his performance. He not impressed the fans but also caught the attention of UFC CEO Dana White. During his post fight press the UFC head honcho shared his opinion on the fight and even had a reward for the new BMF champion.

Max Holloway surprised everyone with his performance at UFC 300. During the final stages of the fight he called Gaethje to the center of the Octagon. Despite winning four rounds out of five, Holloway wanted to make a statement. The pair started exchanging blows before ‘Blessed’ landed a solid right hand to knock out the former champion. During the post fight press conference White seemed supremely impressed with the performance.

He said, ‘Tonight totally embodied what that belt was built for and there should be a picture of that fight in the dictionary when you look up BMF. It was incredible… That fight sucked the life out of everybody tonight… I sell holy-sh** moments for a living. That was the ultimate holy-sh** moment of all time… One second left and a knockout like that. That’s like movie sh**.” Max Holloway had a lot to prove when he entered the Octagon at UFC 300.
