For a long time, the UFC has been battling the issue of underpaying its fighters. However, the issue was seemingly resolved following a recent UFC anti-trust lawsuit settlement. UFC CEO Dana White has decided to pay $335 million for the ongoing class action lawsuit filed against them.

Yes, you read it right, Conor McGregor is the most underpaid fighter in the UFC. Well, at least for Brendan Schaub he is. McGregor is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the UFC. The 35-year-old has not only won titles but also made a good amount of money from the sport. Apart from fighting, the Dubliner has his own share of business as well, which includes his Proper Number Twelve Whiskey and his pubs, the Black Forge Inn and the Marble Arch. However, in a recent segment of his show on his own YouTube channel, Schaub shared that Mcgregor was the most underpaid.

The 41-year-old said, “When you want to talk about underpaid. The reason I get on that hook of underpaid, you know. We’ll talk about Tyson Pedro, Mark Hunt, stuff like that. If you just go based on, let’s say they are paying 18% to the fighters, right? You based on numbers. So the female or young man on the undercard that brings no eyeballs. He’s underpaid. Now is he making the UFC money, no.”

He further added, “Nobody is more underpaid than Conor McGregor. Now nobody wants to hear this because you see his whiskey sales, you see him in that movie ‘Road House’. You see him in all this stuff and he’s making that money and you’re like no. He said he’s a damn near billionaire, I get that. According to Schaub, McGregor has brought in more pay-per-views than any other athlete. As a result, he deserves to get more than what he has. Is there some truth to what Schaub said?

Well, in a recent promotional interview for Road House, McGregor told his co-star Jake Gyllenhaal about how he had to spend every waking moment preparing to be a success. He then went on to say that even with the UFC, he was only provided with a platform from which he has now launched his businesses.
