Conor McGregor is confident that he has secured a spot on next year’s UFC White House card against Michael Chandler. In the meantime, though, the 37-year-old is busy promoting his own fight business. At a press conference in New Jersey on Thursday to promote BKFC 82, headlined by Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens, the part-owner of BKFC issued a dire warning to his former promotion mate.

“You know what’s at stake, Michael? If you don’t perform, you’re gone. You can go back to those exhibition bouts and those Misfits where they put on the big gloves, we’ll part ways,” McGregor said during the presser. While Perry maintains that he is also a part-owner of the promotion, and McGregor doesn’t hold any power over him, the animosity between them doesn’t appear to be settling down any time soon.

Conor McGregor turns sinister
After less than an hour of verbal exchanges, Perry and Stephens finally stood face to face ahead of their ‘King of Violence’ title fight on October 4. But it wasn’t the fighters who stole the spotlight—it was ‘The Notorious.’ Acting as mediator, the 37-year-old wore a sinister grin as he stared down both men. Unable to resist stirring the pot, McGregor suddenly shoved Perry and Stephens during the face-off, seemingly looking to spark chaos and make the moment go viral.
He later took to his Instagram story to reveal, “I’ve broke faces with them shoulders. I broke the face and the nose of the guy that broke your arm, don’t forget it.” Regardless, BKFC President David Feldman had already teased the idea of McGregor stepping into the ring himself. “We were supposed to have my partner, my friend, Conor McGregor, was going to be here today, but he couldn’t make it last minute because he’s actually very, very focused,” Feldman said.

“He’s focused because he said one of you two guys is probably his next fight.” Nonetheless, Happy Punch later posted a clip of the face-off on Instagram, with the caption reading, “Conor McGregor in there facing off with Mike Perry and Jeremy Stephens 💀.” Naturally, McGregor’s antics and bizarre behaviour at the face-off have left fans questioning whether his focus truly lies on a UFC comeback.
McGregor is accused of not taking his job seriously
Fans have grown more accustomed to watching Conor McGregor’s hype during BKFC pressers, and this one was just on another level. One user was quickly inspired to make a unique demand from McGregor. “TRIPLE THREAT MATCH!!” the user commented. While such fights are a norm in WWE, it’s unlikely that the BKFC would adopt such fights unless there’s a growing demand for it.
The next user questioned McGregor’s seriousness for the job. “Bro is not there to stop if they fight, he is there to incite them 😂,” the user remarked. He certainly looked like he wanted to, but if the fighters got hurt, the event might get canceled.
Someone lost hope for McGregor’s return to the UFC. “This is the guy people think is going to get back into the ufc btw,” the user commented. McGregor still has two fights left with the UFC.
Another user, though, saw this as a sign for an even more hyped White House card with McGregor. “😂can’t wait for White House card 🔥,” the user wrote. While the card hasn’t been confirmed, UFC CEO Dana White has dropped hints that McGregor could be part of it.

Meanwhile, a fan claimed McGregor’s shove at Mike Perry felt more personal than playful. “That shoulder check to Mike was diabolical 😂,” the user commented. Well, only McGregor knows why he shoved the fighters.
As always, Conor McGregor has become the center of attention, even though he is not fighting on the card. While some doubt he is coming back to the UFC, others seem to see it as a positive sign. But what about you? What do you think?
