Conor McGregor is usually in the news for his accolades in fighting or his business ventures. However, The Notorious has now made it to the news because of him landing a role opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. While fans are excited about McGregor’s appearance in the movie, The Notorious had a similar opportunity in the past.

Irish MMA royalty Conor McGregor once had a role created for himself in Vin Diesel’s XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. However, the role couldn’t be materialized, as McGregor was hungry to avenge a loss.

Actor Vin Diesel spoke in detail about the entire saga. The action star said, “I wanted to have an English accent in the movie,” Diesel said. “I had created a role for Conor McGregor and after he lost to Nate Diaz, he had to go to a dark place, he had to go get his manhood back to fight the second time, so he wasn’t able to do this film at the time.”

He wrote, “Conor McGregor will make his motion picture acting debut along Jake Gyllenhaal in the 80’s classic “Road House” remake, it was announced today. Filming starts within the month. He will have a leading role. Here’s a statement from his spokesperson @KarenKesslerPR”
